Free-living Kangaroo - the pinnacle in food provenance

Rare by Nature source kangaroo that have for thousands of years been unaffected by predators, farming or disease. The increasing centralisation of abattoirs means more animals are facing lengthy and uncomfortable journeys to be processed.   Animals may be transported in cramped and dirty conditions for up to 48 hours without water.  Animals typically arrive at abattoirs in a distressed and dehydrated state.  Rare by Nature flip this model on its head by sending hunters trekking on foot to shoot and harvest the kangaroo.  The kangaroos are killed humanely in their own natural environment with a single gun-shot to the head.  They are processed while in a relaxed state, they are not subjected to the same stress as animals in the traditional farming models.
