Cape Grim is unique – its position on the northwestern tip of Tasmania gives it the cleanest air in the world, making it the site of an important weather station. Samples of the atmosphere from Cape Grim are sent all over the globe for scientific use as the international benchmark for air quality.
A place of rugged windswept beauty, its rich soils also make it exceptional grazing country. Angus and Hereford cattle graze on grass and clover, and the use of hormones, genetically modified organisms (GMOs) and antibiotics is banned. The exceptional quality of Cape Grim's grass fed beef has lately been gaining an international reputation – and with good reason.
