Lying between Launceston and Tasmania's East Coast, the Fingal Valley is known for forests of magnificent white eucalyptus trees, which grow up to 90 metres tall. A meandering freshwater river, the South Esk, runs through the valley. Its grasslands and forests are populated by the Forester (Eastern Grey) Kangaroo, Macropus Giganteus, and other native wildlife.
